Rescue the Ayah

You are the proofreader — do not believe everything you read

🛟 What changed?

You are not told how many intruding words a verse holds, and it may hold none at all. And an intruder is never random: it is taken from a genuinely similar verse — the thing that actually confuses memorizers.

Rescue the Ayah: spotting the error without being told there is one

Finding a wrong word when you know a wrong word is there is a searching skill. Reading a verse not knowing whether anything is wrong and judging by what you know — that is review. It is what a sheikh does when he misreads on purpose to see whether the student notices.

❓

The count is unknown — and may be zero

The child is never told how many words intrude, and some verses are untouched. So there is nothing to do but measure what is read against what is memorized, rather than hunt until something turns up.

👯

The intruder comes from a look-alike verse

The planted word is taken from a verse memorizers genuinely confuse with this one, not from some random word. The drill attacks the cause of the error, not its shape.

🗺️

It names the source

After each verse the child is told where the intruding word came from — which surah, which verse — turning every round into a small lesson in look-alikes.

The strictest test of memorization

A child who survives this game truly knows the text rather than roughly recalling it. Try the rest of the memorization games to consolidate what surfaced.
